Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Certification Program


Deepen your knowledge and understanding of Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare. 


Do you have a passion for helping people? Have you ever wanted to pursue a career in alternative and complimentary healthcare? Well look no further, this is the program for you!


This program will instill a deep professional  knowledge and understanding Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare. 


As a whole, Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare involves using natural treatments and products such as vitamins, minerals, herbs, body work,  and mind-body medicine.  These modalities can be integrated with traditional medicine for ultimate care. 


The program is a 6-month 200-hour certification program that provides specialized training in all of the following areas.  Each of the different classes as a stand alone certification instead of as part of the 200 hour course.


COST - 200 hour Certification for:

Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner

Cost for the entire 200 hour curriculum if taken together is $2500 or payments of $100 each week for the 25 weeks of the course.


Classes taken "a la carte" cost $80 each week of class for each 4 hour class taken.  The days, times and total costs below are listed for those students who wish to attend individual classes as part of an "a la carte" curriculum.


All Classes are held on Wednesdays with afternoon sessions and evening sessions.


Classes meet 1:00pm-5:00pm then take a 1-hour dinner break then continue on from 6:00pm-10:00pm.  The classes offered in the afternoon and evening classes combined make up the 200 hour course.

•Reflexology 
 Also know as zone therapy, reflexology is alternative medicine involving application of pressure to the feet and hands with specific thumb, finger, and hand techniques without the use of oil or lotion. It is based on a system of zones and reflex areas that reflect an image of the body on the feet and hands, with the premise that such work effects a physical change to the body.

•Acupressure 
 An alternative medicine technique similar in principle to acupuncture. It is based on the concept of life energy which flows through "meridians" in the body. In treatment, physical pressure is applied to acupuncture points with the aim of clearing blockages in these meridians. Pressure may be applied by hand, by elbow, or with various devices.


Acupressure is an 8 week/32 Hour program

•Tok Sen – (Meridian work)
Tok Sen uses special wooden tools, body and sound vibrations areas throughout the meridians of the body.  This modality was developed approximately 5000 years ago in Thailand. It helps improve the flow of the body’s energy to assist with chronic issues such as stiff muscles or muscular soreness.


Tok Sen is a 4 week/16 Hour program
Cost if taken individually is $ 320.00    

Ear Reflexology 
Ear Reflexology or Auricular Therapy is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It can be applied quickly and easily in situations where foot or hand reflexology may not be suitable, or if health conditions do not permit it. The ears contain a complete reflex map of the body, with nerve endings and multiple connectors to the central nervous system. Manipulation of these area help with balancing the body.


Ear Reflexology is a 3 week/12 hour program 6/20/2018
Cost if taken individually is $ 240.00     


Animal Reflexology 
An alternative and non-invasive therapy using reflexology points on your animal to relieve stress and blocked energy on both physical and mental areas of their body.   By stimulation of these areas it can help relieve tension which can then allow issues to dissipate.


Animal Reflexology is a 2  week/8 hour program
Cost if taken individually is $ 160.00     

6pm – 10pm classes:

REQUIRED as part of the 200 hour certification program.
May be taken individually.


Ayurveda / Aromatherapy 
 The use of essential oils for the various issues that the body can develop from both a    Ayurveda as well as in Traditional Aromatherapy view point.  When both practices are put together you are able to take some of the guess work/trial and error of which oils to use and how to use them.


Ayurveda/Aromatherapy is an 8 week/32 Hour program

Herbal Medicine
Herbal (also herbalism or phytotherapy) is the study of and use of plants intended for medicinal purposes or for supplementing a diet. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history, medicinal plants date back 60,000 years.  Modern medicine makes use of many plant-derived compounds as the basis for evidence-based allopathic drugs.

Nutrition
The art of using whole foods to heal and sustain the body.  These foods are complete and  perfect in their natural state.  They will contain a balanced amount of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals. Learn how to use these foods to your advantage in order to heal various dis-eases.


Nutrition is a 7 week program
Cost if taken individually is $ 640.00     
 
•Face Reading
Also know as Mien Shiang or Mien Xiang which originated 3,000 years ago in China.  TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) uses face reading to help give practitioners an idea of what    their client’s health condition.  These readings are to be used simply as possible warning signs.  In heeding the signs and by adjusting life style and diet you can protect your future Health.


Face Reading is a 2 week program

Students may enroll in the full-term program or join in at the start of a new course.  Courses will repeat every six months so students can join a full 200 hour certification at the beginning of ANY module listed above.


Current start dates for the 200 hour Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Certification Program are:

February 14th



With graduation dates approximately 6 months later.


Students who complete the 200 hour certification program will receive individual certificates for each course included as well as the overall Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Certificate.  Students who do not complete the entire program will receive no certificates for any of the individual courses unless and until they have paid the higher tuition for the courses if taken individually.  Students must complete the entire 200 hour program in order to obtain the Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare Practitioner Certificate unless they receive WRITTEN waivers from attending any specific training for which the student already holds a certification through The Southern California College of Alternative and Complimentary Healthcare or another school approved at the discretion of the course instructor.
